Mission
To support, educate, and advocate for the Southern Arizona community who are exploring Jewish family history, while expanding and providing programs, resources, and fostering a robust membership to engage people in the joy of discovering their Jewish heritage. To collect, preserve and disseminate knowledge and information with reference to Jewish genealogy and the history of the Jewish communities in Arizona.
Objectives
To collect, preserve, and disseminate knowledge and information pertaining to Jewish genealogy, Jewish culture, and Jewish history
To assist and promote the research of Jewish family history
To support the sharing of Jewish genealogical information
To aim toward the publication of helpful material in the field of Jewish genealogy
To increase participation and membership in Southern Arizona Jewish Genealogical Society
To provide members, guests, and the community with services to help them become more effective genealogists
To elevate Jewish genealogy among people who are searching Jewish roots and in the academic community
To promote public access to genealogically relevant records
To instruct genealogical research techniques and to share the joy of genealogical research
To engage, include, and serve the full diversity of the genealogical and local communities
To create and add to the Southern Arizona Jewish Genealogical Society’s reference library
